What experience do I need to become a The Garage Floor Company™ franchise owner?
The Garage Floor Company™ franchise opportunity was built with simplicity in mind. We are looking for individuals with mechanical aptitude, good business sense, enthusiasm for the brand, and strong work ethic. Franchise owners should be physically able to do the work, licensed drivers, and able to pass a background check. Business owners in similar industry sectors are welcome to consider our concept as an add-on concept to complement their existing business. What is provided as part of The Garage Floor Company™ franchise program?
Each franchise owner will be required to attend and complete initial training with our team, both at our headquarters and in the field. Our management team will assist with system operations, product knowledge and installation techniques. Ongoing training will also be available. All new owners will receive a proprietary, confidential operations manual with important details needed to help run the business and assist with day-to-day activities. We will also provide access to our exclusive suite of coating products and solutions.
How much will The Garage Floor Company™ franchise program cost me?
The total investment necessary to begin operations ranges from $101,381 to $240,657 for a single location, including an initial franchise territory fee of $25,000. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchise owners, but we may refer to financing sources on a case by case basis.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We charge a royalty fee equal to 5% of gross revenues or a minimum flat fee, whichever is greater. (The minimum flat fee is waived in Year 1 of franchise operations). The royalty is collected every two weeks, and franchisees pay the higher of either the flat fee amount or 5% of actual gross sales each payment period. To support marketing of the brand and the franchisee’s local business, The Garage Floor Company™ franchise owners will also contribute 2% of gross sales (which could increase to 3% with prior notice), or a minimum flat fee starting Year Two, into the brand development fund. And, franchisees must spend at least $500 per month for local marketing which they implement directly. Collected fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of products, supply channels, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is five years, with three subsequent successor agreement options of five years.
